Like many significant and successful stories, this one started with two long-time friends, colleagues Andrius Rupšys and Ričardas Vandzinskas. By the time they were working in one of the most innovative Lithuanian IT companies, “Ruptela”, they recognised a huge gap in the leasing market. Businesses lacked the cash flow to buy their products outright. Getting a bank loan was usually a long and stressful process. For too long, banking has been slow and demanding. Thus, we decided to change that and build an alternative financing system for everyone.
Andrius Rupšys had realised throughout his experience as a CEO of “Ruptela” the growing importance of technology. Furthermore, Ričardas Vandzinskas, as a CFO, knew that fintech software was already changing the game in finance and was curious to explore the new opportunities. As a result, they connected on a vision during the very first moment, around the concept of the “Hive finance” – the company that could solve problems by treating customers fairly and being open to their needs. Moreover, we truly believe we can make financing better.
After coming up with the idea of creating the fintech together, founders spent days discussing progressive values and how they could be projected into a company.
